SHIPPING POLICY

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

The Gourmutt Kitchen produces fresh, gently cooked, frozen dog food. Because our products are perishable, proper shipping and handling are essential to maintaining quality and safety.


Shipping Methods

To preserve product integrity, expedited shipping is required for all frozen food orders.

We use insulated packaging and cold packs to maintain safe temperatures during transit. Shipping speeds are selected specifically to protect product quality.

Standard ground shipping may not be available for frozen products.


Upon Delivery

Packages should be opened immediately upon arrival.

All frozen products should be placed in the freezer right away.

Due to the nature of shipping frozen food, products may arrive:

  • Partially thawed

  • Softened

  • Or fully thawed but still cold

This is normal and does not automatically indicate a problem.


Food Safety Guidance

If the product is still cold to the touch upon arrival, it is considered safe.

You may:

  • Refreeze immediately, or

  • Refrigerate and use within 3–5 days

If the product arrives warm, hot, or appears compromised, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include photos.


Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate shipping information

  • Monitoring delivery tracking

  • Bringing packages inside promptly

  • Proper freezer storage upon receipt

We are not responsible for spoilage due to:

  • Delayed retrieval

  • Incorrect addresses

  • Carrier delays beyond our control


Claims & Issues

If your order arrives damaged or compromised:

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at:

Include photos of the product and packaging so we can evaluate the issue.

Approved claims may result in replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
